A ragged old wolf-dog that appears and disappears, an imaginary playmate who turns out to be real, an unexpected fortune and the death of her only relative are only the beginning. Her search for her identity, Aunt Haley's past and the reason someone wants her beating heart lead Amanda Dorning from a farm in Kentucky back to Madrona in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. There, in a cave littered with human skeletons, Amanda comes face to face with her twin sister. They both realize that one of them must die. The other will live to carry out the prophecies of an ancient legend.

Reviews

Ms. Marilyn Nichols Kapp, an author from Kentucky, recently received recognition for her literary achievements and was added to the "Fine Writers Online Showcase." Founder Melody Joyce at Soliloquy noted:

"Clean. Crisp. Concise. Unquestionably compelling. Marilyn Nichols
Kapp's words flow like the purest of mountain streams, refreshingly
intoxicating and surprisingly intriguing. Her new ebook, "Return to
Madrona" seems to quietly exemplify the "keep it simple" principle . . .
until it delivers one exciting and unexpected uppercut after the other!
              Brilliantly imaginative talent."

Ms. Nichols-Kapp's writing is skillful and evocative, drawing the reader into her tightly-woven plot with a seeming lack of effort. The story is both absorbing and chilling. I would highly recommend this book to fellow devotees of romantic suspense, with just one proviso. Don't read this book when you're alone in the house if easily frightened, especially after midnight!
